Clifford Country is a large private home welcoming your family for Bed and Breakfast May through October each year. Our 11 country acres and surrounding meadows and woods provide a perfect venue for your Green Mountain holiday. During summer and fall enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, golf and antiquing. Only a few miles away are a number of fine restaurants, galleries and other attractions for your entertainment.

Look forward to refreshing your body and spirit as you relax in our comfortable family room, cozy up to a cheerful fire on chilly evenings, have tea or read on the screened porch or the large deck. All three comfortable guest rooms are bright and have great views. Stroll through lovely gardens or sit and relax in the old orchard. Join us for a hearty Vermont country breakfast with delicious home baked goodies and of course, real, locally produced Vermont maple syrup. Fresh, sustainably grown vegetables and berries delight the palate. Help us pick them if you want to; discover the mysteries of composting; visit a local farm to watch cows being milked. You can be as involved as you wish--or not at all.

The town of Mount Holly, a group of small villages, offers several popular annual events:  a Fourth of July Celebration, Artfest (held the 1st weekend in August on the Belmont Village Green), Cider Days over Columbus Day Weekend, and a weekly community Farmer’s Market.

And who can forget autumn in Vermont: Beginning the third weekend in September, the Green Mountains explode into crimson, orange and gold. Every turn takes your breath away.

Get away from city pressures into the clean, fresh air of Mount Holly and Clifford Country Bed and Breakfast.
